Bohdi

2-year old male Bull Terrier

Bohdi.jpg

Bodhi, a 2-year old male tri coloured Bull Terrier is awaiting patiently for his forever home to come about!

Unfortunately, Bodhi’s guardians had a change in circumstances which meant moving interstate, with family members who have a very busy household and this is not something that Bodhi copes well with.

Bodhi is a friendly, lovable goofball who is looking for a single person, or couple to welcome him into their home. Bodhi has had extensive training with our trainers here and is now ready to find a family of his own.

Bodhi is friendly with other dogs and children but is very full on and becomes easily aroused, so ideally would benefit from a quieter home as an only dog. He is good with teenagers 12 years plus.

Bodhi is fully crate trained and this is a MUST in his new home to maintain the work we have been doing with him.

What is Bohdis ideal home? An active, adventurous home who love the outdoors. They would have breed experience and a quiet home with rules and management in place.

* Bodhi was purchased off of a Facebook group as a puppy, and is NOT from a registered breeder.

Adoption fee: $650.00 includes desexing, yearly vaccination, transferred registered microchip, up to date parasite control, and on-going behavioural support through Take the Lead Canine Services.

Hank

18 month old male crossbreed

Hank.jpg

Hey you! Yeah, I heard you talking about the new kid on the block... That's me! Hank.

I am a 18 month old Doberman cross Dutch Shepherd and I am not a dog for the average home. I have good drives and like to work. My obedience is great and my recall is

My previous family worked hard on my training so I am fully house trained, crate trained and have good manners. I love other dogs and respectful children.

The only reason I am being surrendered is because my humans are moving overseas and don't think I would cope with the big trip.

Adoption fee: $650.00 includes desexing, yearly vaccination, transferred registered microchip, up to date parasite control, and on-going behavioural support through Take the Lead Canine Services.

Lillie

4 year old female Rottweiler

Lillie.jpg

Lillie has an array of health issues which may lead to a shorter life span. Lillie suffers arthritis in her back legs from a ruptured and repaired cruciate, elbow displaysia in both front elbows and a dodgey front wrist which can lead to lameness if over exercised or if she is not kept lean.

Lillie has a sweet nature but is a strong dog. She will require a breed experienced guardian who can implement continued training, a strict exercise regime and someone who isn’t too heavy on the treats therefore keeping her fit and healthy.

Lillie gets along well with other dogs but would benefit from a home as an only dog as this is all she’s ever known. She has never grown up with pocket pets or cats so therefore is unsuitable.

Lillie is not suited to a home with kids under 13 years of age. She will need a home with respectful teenage children. She becomes nervous around small, fast moving, unpredictable children, hence the reason for her surrender originally.

Lillie is crate trained, place trained, has good basic obedience but needs continued training on her loose leash walking.

Adoption fee: $100.00. Lillie is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea, worm and heart worm treated. She has also completed a 4-week course of cartrophen injections and will come with a container of Rosehip vital and a 4x hydrotherapy pass time Noah’s Crossing Vet.

Harvey

2 year old male Maremma

harvey.jpg

Harvey is a 2-year old large male desexed Maremma. He has typical Maremma traits as you can see by this photo - his job is to sit on the hill and watch his ‘pack’. Even though Harvey has been raised as a pet dog, his natural Maremma instincts are still noticeably evident through his behaviour.
We will be looking for a home on a farm where Harvey can have a job that he was bred to do - to watch and protect his flock.
Harvey gets along well with other dogs and can be incredibly playful with them. He is good with small, respectful children but of course this needs strict supervision.
He looses a heck load of hair, so if hair is not your kettle of fish - this dog sure isn’t for you! Maremmas are generally very clean dogs but someone who is up to date with grooming is also ideal for this fella.
We have received plenty of expressions of interest so if you have emailed previously, your application will be recalled at time of assessing suitable homes for him.

Adoption fee: $650.00 includes desexing, yearly vaccination, transferred registered microchip, up to date parasite control, and on-going behavioural support through Take the Lead Canine Services.

Ruby

7 year old female Rottweiler

Ruby is a 7 year old female Rottweiler who is eagerly awaiting her newest adventure to start. Just like Bentley, Ruby is absolutely full of life and shows no chances of slowing down anytime soon - so don’t take that number of age too seriously!

This girl has so much love to give. The world shines bright when she is around and she brings so much life to anyone who meets her. Her bubbly personality radiates and she is always eager for a belly or ear scratch

Ruby is good with other large breed dogs and is not good with cats. She is not suitable to a home with small children as they excite her and she can chase and knock them over. Although not aggressive, this behaviour is not one we want her to practise and allow to escalate.

Ruby is house trained and has great food drive making training a breeze!

Adoption fee: $350.00 includes desexing, yearly vaccination, transferred registered microchip, up to date parasite control, and on-going behavioural support through Take the Lead Canine Services.

Sirius

3 year old male Border Collie

Sirius is a 3 year old male desexed Border Collie who is as clever as they come. Check the comments for how Sirius plays connect4 and Jenga!

Sirius participated in our Take the Lead Board and Train program for 3 weeks and he has come along in leaps and bounds. His guardians were so pleased with his progress but unfortunately, he is not suitable to a home with small children so therefore, we have offered to find Sirius a new home.

Sirius needs a dedicated guardian - physical stimulation is just not enough for this man... Mental stimulations is equally as important... and I’m not just talking about food in a kong... I’m talking about free shaping, agility, training, canine conditioning...

Sirius does not get along with other animals and is best suited as king of the castle. He is fully crate trained, place trained, has solid obedience and would make an ideal companion!

Adoption fee: $650.00 includes desexing, yearly vaccination, transferred registered microchip, up to date parasite control, and on-going behavioural support through Take the Lead Canine Services.

Harley

2 year old Great Dane x German Shepherd

Harley is an 2 year old female giant size dog who is on the look out for a new family. Harley is a smart girl who sometimes forgets her size... Don’t they all?

She has basic obedience - sit, down, wait, place, crate training etc and LOVES humans! She’ll look at you with the exact face pictured and you won’t be able to resist giving her a little belly rub.

Harley unfortunately doesn’t get along with smaller animals (small dogs, cats etc) and would need to be placed in a home without. She has lived with another large breed dog before. Kids are a relatively new concept for her and due to her size, we will be placing her in a home with children over 10.

Can you dedicate time to giant dog like Harley?

Adoption fee: $650.00 includes desexing, yearly vaccination, transferred registered microchip, up to date parasite control, and on-going behavioural support through Take the Lead Canine Services.

Ellie

3 year old female medium Black and white Border Collie crossbreed

A little shy at first, this girl has so much to GIVE! She loves learning but most of all she thrives off of the bond that training builds with her human. She loves being the centre of attention, and will often prefer to sit for a pat or a cuddle than to be off playing with the other dogs.

Being a Border cross, she has high energy but we have found her to not be silly with it. She loves going for a run in the paddock with the other dogs, and loves stretching her legs as she gallops across the fields. She loves having a job to do and will thrive with a family willing to put in the time and work.

She is good with other respectful dogs and children. Ellie has basic obedience but will need someone dedicated to continuing on her training plan.

Ellie has not had anything to do with cats or pocket pets.

Adoption fee: $650.00 includes desexing, yearly vaccination, transferred registered microchip, up to date parasite control, and on-going behavioural support through Take the Lead Canine Services.

Elsa

9 month old Samoyed crossbreed

Elsa is a 9 month old crossbreed who was surrendered to our local veterinary clinic. Elsa is a very high energy dog who thrives off of learning, human interaction, running and exploring. She will not suit a family environment as she is very boisterous and mouthy when handling her collar area which we have worked a lot on since arrival. She loves other dogs and people so she would suit living with another dog, but she can get rough so the new guardians need to be on board with correct dog social skills. She is not good with cats. Elsa requires ongoing training obedience, stimulation, exercise and enrichment.

Adoption fee: $650.00 includes desexing, yearly vaccination, transferred registered microchip, up to date parasite control, and on-going behavioural support through Take the Lead Canine Services.

Wilson

4 year old male Rottweiler

Sweet, affectionate and loving - this boy has all of the typical Rottweiler traits. He is intelligent, loves to learn and thrives off of having a bond with his humans. Wilson had a few poor first part to his life where he did not receive the critical training, exposure and socialisation that a dog should have. He has proven to be good with new people, but does struggle with over arousal around other dogs. He would best be suited to a home as an only dog wit an active, adventurous couple that have kids over 12. He still has some puppy ike behaviours and due to his size, this explains why he is much more suited to older kids. He tries hard to please and has a lovely temperament and personality.

Adoption fee: $650.00 includes desexing, yearly vaccination, transferred registered microchip, up to date parasite control, and on-going behavioural support through Take the Lead Canine Services.

Rhea

5 year old female large crossbreed

Rhea is one of the most pleasant dogs we have had the pleasure of rehoming. She is easy to manage and loves all the belly rubs and butt scratches you can give! Rhea longs for a forever home and would make the ideal family dog. She has shown selectivity towards other dogs, but has had some successful carefully matched off leash socials. Rhea has a thick coat, so does shed and will require regular grooming. Rhea is not good with cats, or small pocket pets.

Adoption fee: $650.00 includes desexing, yearly vaccination, transferred registered microchip, up to date parasite control, and on-going behavioural support through Take the Lead Canine Services.

Nugget

2 year old male desexed Kelpie

Nugget came in to Guardian Angel HQ after his guardians found themselves in a very difficult situation.

Nugget is a 2 year old fun-loving working line Australian Kelpie who has been a much loved family pet since a puppy. He was born and bred on a farm but left mum at 5 week of age.

Nugget has since undertaken puppy school and some basic training with his family. He is absolutely ball obsessed and loves playing fetch.

Nugget has proven to be good with all dogs OUTSIDE the home but is best off not living with other dog. He is best off in a home with children over 13 years of age and he has not lived with cats before.

Nugget is looking for a fun, active family who he can enjoy long hikes with, push bike rides, camping trips, beach runs - anything that the typical kelpie would love!

Adoption fee: $650.00 includes desexing, yearly vaccination, transferred registered microchip, up to date parasite control, and on-going behavioural support through Take the Lead Canine Services.
